Install and update
On Windows, download and run the .exe installer, choose an application folder, then open Maru-gun and select your existing Windower4/addons folder. Choose Download and install to install the signed application and addon package. The installer is not Authenticode-signed; TUF signatures protect update packages.
On Linux, download the .run file and run it with Bash. Choose an empty,
writable application folder. Open Maru-gun and choose your existing
Windower4/addons folder when prompted. Download and install the addon,
then load it in Windower with //lua load marugun.
Maru-gun checks for new application and addon versions on startup. Press Update to install both together. Your saved settings are preserved.
Verify the download
Compare the installer checksum before running it. The installer bundles the trusted TUF root used to verify signed update metadata and packages.

The maintainer verification record is in the source repository (Bitbucket access required). TUF update signatures are separate from Windows Authenticode signing.
